Apps and templates save you build time. Custom steps and custom column types do something bigger — they teach FlowClick new capabilities that every builder in your workspace can use from then on.

Custom Steps

Grow your workflow vocabulary

Every installed step appears on the canvas alongside the built-ins — same drag-and-drop, same run logs, same audit trail. That changes what "no code" can reach:

  • Industry logic becomes a building block. Freight-rate calculations, insurance scoring, tax lookups — encoded once, reused in every flow.
  • Proprietary systems become drag-and-drop. Wrap an internal or vendor API as a step, and non-technical builders use it without ever seeing the API.
  • No ceiling. When a process needs something the platform doesn't ship, the answer is "install it" or "publish it" — not "wait for the vendor."

Custom Column Types

Data that understands your industry

FlowClick's built-in semantic types already validate and enrich emails, phones, and addresses automatically. Custom column types bring that same intelligence to your domain:

  • The rules travel with the type. A "VIN," "NPI number," or "policy number" column validates and formats itself in every table, form, and portal that uses it — defined once, consistent everywhere.
  • Enrichment included. Types can carry lookups and enrichment logic, so a record completes itself the moment data arrives — the same way built-in types geocode addresses.
  • Cleaner data, less training. Forms reject bad input at entry, and nobody has to remember formatting conventions — the column already knows them.
